Fun at the Family Reunion

Millie had a ton of fun at the Bruner Family Reunion on Saturday! She started on the slip-n-slide, moved over to the bubbles, badminton and bocce ball. Then she found a kitty and finally got to say "Me Me" to the real thing. ("Me Me" is Millie's absolute FAVORITE word and means Meow.) I usually hear "Me Me" at least 50 times a day. Her bathing suit was filthy by the end of the evening, but she had a blast.

A Splash with Jade

Today Millie had a visit from her friend Jade.








They played outside in the baby pool. Millie was doing a lot of "swimming" and splashing.

Millle the Messy

Millie is a major mess maker! Yesterday she figured out how to open her dresser drawers. She then pulled each item of clothing out one by one. When I came in the room to check on her she said "Claw" which means clothes in Millie language.

Millie went to the doctor yesterday. She is 26.5 pounds (75%) and 32 inches tall (70%). She really is growing.

The New "Ketchup Kate"

Growing up, my sister Sarah Kate was always referred to as "Ketchup Kate" and my brother Matt was "Mustard Matt" because of an incident waiting for the ferry to go over to Martha's Vineyard one summer. (They both spilled ketchup and mustard all over themselves during the same meal.) Well, Millie is the new ketchup Kate in the family. She LOVES ketchup. She likes to feel the texture of it and she tries to scoop some into her mouth too. Mostly she just likes to make a big mess. It is pretty funny watching her. However, when we want to eat ketchup on something we now have to hide it from Millie or she will stop eating her meal and only want to play with her ketchup.

A Visit to Chicago

Last weekend we took Millie to visit her cousin Jimmy and her new cousin Josie (born August 7th). Millie had a great time exploring Jimmy's toys and discovering new things at the Children's Museum.
